🌞 Courage 🌞

What is the characteristic of a courageous person?

Jumping out of an airplane? Moving to a different continent? Defeating addiction? Giving someone your kidney? Overcoming cancer? Or doing things that you are the most frightened of?

In my opinion, courage means daring to do your own Inner work and following through with your aspiration with integrity, no matter what it takes!

My question to you is, do you consider yourself a courageous person?

Often, we are only focused on the big achievement; we forget that many small things in life require audacity to accomplish as well, for example:

• It takes courage to speak the truth.

• It takes courage to stand tall.

• It takes courage to practice what you preach.

• It takes courage to dream of the possibility.

• It takes courage to laugh and rejoice in life.

• It takes courage to be fearless to act on your magnificence.

• It takes courage to fulfill one’s life mission with passion.

• It takes courage to be persistent on authenticity.

• It takes courage to transform life’s confrontation.

• It takes courage not to react to other people’s judgments.

• It takes courage to accept others’ criticism with gratitude.

• It takes courage to be compassionate towards all living beings.

• It takes courage to be empathetic to embrace others’ suffering.

• It takes courage to forgive wrongdoers and not be resentful of people.

• It takes courage to look within and to face the darkness of ego mind.

• It takes courage to accept self-imperfection and admit it.

• It takes courage to allow your brilliant light to shine.

• It takes courage to love yourself and others unconditionally.

• It takes tremendous courage to be a drop of water in the ocean, willingly cause a ripple effect, and be an exceptional example for other people to see.

After you have read this list, can someone please tell me what courageous things you have done recently?

Actually, I think you are all courageous individuals. You may not fully realize this yet, but I am confident that sharing my own experiences will inspire you to look within and believe you are a courageous person, too.

Yes, some people called me a courageous woman for daring to move to Canada without knowing any English, for daring to settle with $200 in my wallet as I immigrated to Toronto, and for daring to experience life fully and travel alone with a backpack to many different countries. However, I lived a fearful life for over 30 years, just being a consumer and not having the nerve to be a learner or a doer.

Because I was terrified that people judge me and laugh at me for not being smart enough to articulate or write good English. Since I didn’t want to lose face, I’d rather not speak to hide the fact that I could not enunciate the word correctly. I was living that fictional persona for 30 years and missed many excellent opportunities to experience life. This fearful attitude not only created lots of problems and suffering, but also, by not expressing my feelings caused me an isolated island to live in.

Ultimately, much misery drove me to look deeper in life. Then 16 years ago, I boldly followed my gut feeling and decided to step out of my comfort zone to live freely.

Yes, it takes enormous courage to believe in one’s ambition and pursue it with integrity and heart. I comprehend that sometimes there will be challenges ahead and the Universe is testing me, “Are you serious?”

I am aware that when I hear that little voice telling me about something, it is my inner guidance. Every time I embrace life and persistently pursue my soul’s desires, I shall see the Universe bending backward to support me. indeed, sometimes life will make me encounter some setback, difficulty, or obstacle; I recognize that it’s just challenging my belief in myself and how genius to handle the situation.

Now, I choose to hold on to my faith, continue to press forward and trust my determination and bravery will open new doors for me.

At last, I want you to think about your own life and all those courageous things that you have done. Those achievements and the proud moments that you can draw from your own life experiences, then you will realize that empowerment has come from within. Yes, whatever you are looking for in life, it is not out there but inside of you. When you find the courage to look inward, you know you have what it takes to live your full potential.

Keep in mind that courage is an attribute that is attainable by all.

May I invite you to continue to walk with me on this spiritual quest
