From Assumption to Awareness

🎯 The Energy You Broadcast Becomes the Life You Experience 🎯

Last week, while I was at my meditation center volunteering, a lady came to me and said that she admired my radiant skin.

🍀  I smiled and responded, “I am a Natural Nutritious. I help people cultivate healthier skin and a more balanced diet. If you have any questions, I’d be happy to help.” 🍀

She then asked for my phone number and email, so I gave her my business card. Three days passed. I still hadn’t heard from her. And then, quietly, my mind began creating a story.

  • She must not have liked me.
  • Perhaps I offended her.
  • Maybe I said something wrong.

Without a single new fact, my mind had already written an entire story—and my emotions began responding to that story as though it were true.

I felt disappointed. Then sadness arose. And as I continued thinking about it, that sadness generated even more energy. One assumption fed another, and before I realized it, my own mental creation was beginning to consume me.

🙏  But thankfully, awareness brought me back. I paused. I took a few deep breaths. And with each conscious exhalation, I imagined releasing the unnecessary drama, the assumptions, and the stories that were never actually reality.

  • Then I simply watched.
  • I watched the emotion.
  • I watched the thoughts.
  • I watched the mind producing its little theatre of possibilities.

And something profound became clear to me: How quickly the mind creates assumptions.

How deeply programmed we are to interpret, predict, judge, and fill in the blanks. The mind doesn’t always wait for truth. It often creates a story first—and then invites us to believe it. But I began asking myself:

  • Does this assumption serve me?
  • Does it elevate my consciousness?
  • Does it bring me peace?
  • Does it open my heart?
  • Does it bring me joy, gratitude, or love?
  • Does it help me see the true essence of another person and the situation?

The answer was no. My assumption was not reality. It was simply a mental habit.  And once I could see it, I had a choice.

🌸 From Assuming to Broadcasting 🌸

This experience led me to a deeper question:  What energy do I want to broadcast into the world?

Do I want to broadcast:  Fear?  Agitation?  Scarcity? Limitation?  Disappointment? Frustration?  Suspicion?

Or can I consciously choose to broadcast:  Peace.  Trust.  Joy.  Gratitude. Abundance. Compassion.  Love.

This, for me, is part of the deeper practice of conscious living.

  • We cannot control every person.
  • We cannot control every event.
  • We cannot know what someone else is thinking.

But we can become conscious of what we are generating within ourselves and what we are sending outward.  And that changes everything.

🌸 Our Mind is Always Broadcasting 🌸

  • Every thought carries a direction.
  • Every emotion carries energy.
  • Every word carries an imprint.

What we repeatedly think, feel, say, and expect can influence the way we perceive the world—and therefore the way we meet the world.

👉  If I repeatedly tell myself:  “People don’t like me.”   I began looking for evidence of rejection.

👉  If I tell myself:  “Something is always going wrong.”  I become more sensitive to problems.

👉  If I live from scarcity, I notice what is missing. But when I consciously shift my inner frequency, something else becomes possible.

  • I begin noticing beauty.
  • I recognize kindness.
  • I become more open to possibilities.
  • I listen more deeply.
  • I respond rather than react.

The outer world may not have changed at all.

But the lens through which I experience it has changed.

And sometimes, that is where transformation begins.

🌸 You are not Your First Thought  🌸

One of the greatest gifts of meditation is discovering that a thought can arise without becoming our identity.

🙏   A thought says:  “She doesn’t like me.”

🙏   Awareness can simply say:  “Interesting. That is a thought arising.”

🙏   An emotion says:  “I am disappointed.”

🙏   Awareness can say:  “Disappointment is arising within me.”

That tiny distinction creates space. And inside that space is freedom.

  • I don’t have to believe every thought.
  • I don’t have to feed every emotion.
  • I don’t have to turn every uncertainty into a negative story.
  • I can pause.
  • I can breathe.
  • I can observe.
  • And then I can consciously choose what energy I want to cultivate.

🌸  What if We Became Conscious Broadcasters? 🌸

Imagine if we became more intentional about the energy we bring into every room.

🙏  Before speaking to someone, we could ask:  What am I about to broadcast?

🙏  Before responding to a difficult message:  What energy do I want my words to carry?

🙏  Before making an assumption:  Do I actually know this is true?

🙏  Before judging someone: Can I leave room for another possibility?

🙏  And before going to sleep: What did I contribute to the energetic field of the world today?

Perhaps this is another dimension of awakening.  Not simply becoming aware of what happens to us, but becoming aware of what we are continually sending through us.

We become less like unconscious receivers of the world and more like conscious broadcasters.

🌸 Your Words are Codes  🌸

🙏  There is a beautiful Chinese expression: 「你所說的話,就像是一串密碼,開啟了你的人生際遇。」

🙏  The words you speak are like a string of code, opening the possibilities of your life.

🙏  I don’t believe this means that every word magically determines what happens to us.

🙏  Rather, our words reveal—and reinforce—the inner world from which we live.

  • When we constantly speak from fear, we strengthen fear.
  • When we speak from resentment, we strengthen resentment.
  • When we speak from possibility, gratitude, courage, and love, we strengthen those qualities within ourselves.

👉  Our words influence our thoughts.

👉  Our thoughts influence our emotions.

👉  Our emotions influence our actions.

👉  Our actions shape our relationships.

👉  And our relationships shape the experience of our lives.

So perhaps the question is not only:  “What do I want to happen?”

But also:  “Who do I want to be while life is unfolding?”

💖 The Beautiful Freedom of not Knowing 💖

  • Maybe that woman will contact me.
  • Maybe she won’t.
  • Maybe she was busy.
  • Maybe she forgot.
  • Maybe she changed her mind.
  • Maybe something completely unrelated happened in her life.

I simply don’t know.  And that is okay.

  • I don’t need to fill the space of not knowing with a painful story.
  • I can leave the space open.
  • I can leave room for mystery.
  • I can leave room for grace.

This is the freedom I am learning to cultivate:  I don’t have to know the whole story to remain in peace.

👉  I don’t have to turn uncertainty into suffering.

👉  I don’t have to make someone else’s silence mean something about my worth.

👉  I can simply return to this moment.  Breathe. Observe. Choose.  And broadcast again.

💖 What Energy Will You Send into the World Today? 💖

Every day, consciously or unconsciously, we are broadcasting something.

  • Through our thoughts.
  • Through our words.
  • Through our facial expressions.
  • Through our presence.
  • Through the way we listen.
  • Through the way we respond when life doesn’t go according to our expectations.

The invitation is not to become artificially positive or deny difficult emotions.

💖 It is to become conscious. 💖

👉 Feel the disappointment—but don’t become disappointment.

👉 Notice the fear—but don’t let fear write the story.

👉 Recognize the assumption—but don’t mistake it for truth.  Then choose again.

  • Choose the energy that supports your highest expression.
  • Choose the words that uplift rather than diminish.
  • Choose curiosity instead of judgment.
  • Choose trust instead of unnecessary fear.
  • Choose love whenever love is available.

Because perhaps our greatest contribution to the world is not only what we accomplish.

🙏 Perhaps it is the quality of energy we bring into every encounter.

🙏 The world doesn’t need us to be perfect.  It needs us to be awake. 🙏

So today, before you believe your next assumption, pause. Take a breath.

🙏 Ask yourself:  “Is this reality—or simply a story my mind has created?”

🙏 Then ask the deeper question:  “What energy do I want to broadcast now?”

You may not be able to choose what happens next.  But you can choose what you send into the moment. And perhaps that conscious choice—made again and again—is how we quietly begin to transform not only ourselves, but the world around us.
